Initial contact

The process starts with a call or email, and an idea. It can be a simple idea for us to work out, or you may have put a lot of thought into exactly what your requirements are. Whichever way, we will arrange a meeting to discuss your idea further.

Design and proposal

Based on our discussions a design will be drawn up and a proposal prepared. The proposal will include 3D drawings, prices and estimated time frames. This proposal can be refined until we are both happy to proceed to the next stage.


Your furniture will be handmade at our workshop in Dyrham. During this stage you would be welcome to visit the workshop, or alternatively progress reports would be sent via email.

Delivery and fitting

A suitable date for delivery and fitting will be set to accommodate your schedule. We understand that having people working in your home is very disruptive, and we endeavour to ensure any disruption is kept to a minimum.

After care

You are commissioning a handmade piece of furniture, and you should expect the best after care service. We are intent on providing a quality product with a quality service to all of our customers.

A deposit to cover materials and the initial making phase will be taken for all commissioned work. For projects which take longer than three weeks to make, a staged payment will be negotiated once we are all happy to proceed. The final balance for all projects is due on completion of fitting, or on delivery for free standing furniture.
